5k in Kenosha WI

Here at Palmen Auto Stores, we do our best to continually support local causes that matter to the members of our community. One organization we have a long history of working with is the Kenosha Boys and Girls Club, and so today we’re drawing attention to an upcoming event that gives YOU a chance to be a superhero for local kids. 

What is it? It’s called the Every Kid Deserves a Superhero 5k. You may run or walk the course, and participants are encouraged to dress up as your favorite superhero. Of course it’s fine if you don’t, too, but it adds to the fun of the event when more people get into the spirit of things! It costs $20 to participate ($15 if you register with a team) and proceeds benefit the Kenosha Boys and Girls Club.

Where? The race will be held at Carthage College here in Kenosha. Registration will take place in the N lot on the Northern side of campus. You’ll be able to park in Lots C and H. The run will begin in the H Lot, following the Pike River Trail and Campus Drive, ending up on the track of Art Keller Field.

When? The race is on Saturday, April 26 2014. Registration begins at 8:00am (you can also pre-register online at active.com) and the race will begin at 9:00am.

We hope you’re able to attend this event and support the Kenosha Boys and Girls Club. The organization has been helping young people in our community to have a place to go after school and get involved in positive, rewarding activities. We think that’s pretty valuable and worth supporting – and let’s not forget, participating in the race is good for your health, too!
