Trick-or-Treat Times for Racine WI 2016

This year, you and your family can tour the neighborhood for trick-or-treating in Racine on:

Sunday, October 30th, from 4:00pm-7:00pm.

Six Safety Tips for a Happy Halloween

Tip 1: Plan Your Route: Create a route for you to follow ahead of time. Stick to streets and paths you and your family are familiar with in order to avoid anyone getting turned around.

Tip 2: Wear Comfortable Shoes:  Make sure your kids have comfy shoes on to prevent any tripping and to ensure no one ends up with an irritating blister.

Tip 3: Stand Out: It might not look amazing, but if you put some reflective tape on your kids costumes and carry a flashlight as you walk around, you’ll make it a lot easier for drivers to see your kiddos!

Tip 4: Keep Things Short: Tripping over a costume that is too long can lead to scraped knees and a bad experience. Do yourself a favor and hem any long costumes.

Tip 5: Skip the Mask: Instead of your kids wearing masks that are tough to see through and irritating to breath in, give a go at some non-toxic makeup to finish up the look.

Tip 6: Keep Things Plastic:  Make sure that props and pretend weapons that your children use as part of their costume are plastic or rubber to avoid any potential injury.
