Kid playing

Let’s make a difference together for local area Kenosha children

The Kenosha Dream Playground Project

A simple childhood memory, such as going to a park to play, is something that just about everyone can relate to. Playing on the swings, zipping down the slide, digging in sandboxes, and racing across what seemed like miles of woodchips. These were times that made up a very special part of our childhood youth and bring back great memories. Unfortunately not every kid can have such memories, especially handicap children.

Most playground and park equipment is not handicap accessible and cannot be enjoyed by a child born with a disability, until now. The Kenosha Dream Playground Project has set out with a simple objective, provide a place that ALL kids can come and enjoy, disabled or not. Founded in July of 2012, The Kenosha Dream Playground Project is comprised of group of citizens, who are working hard to provide an inclusive, safe, and accessible playground for all children. The organization is working hard to try and make this dream a reality for children in the area, but handicap equipment is expensive, and the planning and building process of the playground is extensive.

The Kenosha Dream Playground Project has made a lot of progress, but more is always needed. Helping can be done in more ways than you think, not only for the Kenosha Dream Playground Project, but for other charitable events and organizations for the Kenosha, WI area. Things like vehicle and bike donations are needed, as well as support of special events.
